Sing Sing
A truly beautiful movie that I have a hard time finding things I didn’t like about it. What first caught my almost immediate attention in this film was the cinematography and the editing. The camera work was so intentional with a variety of different shots and styles, yet threaded so seamlessly to take the viewer through this emotional, TRUE story of a broken system that thrives on oppression, but finding an outlet and connection with others incarcerated, THROUGH art!!!
Coleman Domingo not even being a front runner for the Best Actor Oscar is shocking to look back on, for it was easily one of the best acting performances in 2024. Lastly, finding out most of the cast plays THEMSELVES along with all of these perfectly executed elements is what makes this movie so special and authentic. Incredible.
