For the whole movie you’re watching a man who, rather than reaching power, is slowly destroying himself… That’s Scarface for me, more than anything else. Tony Montana isn’t someone you root for, he’s someone you watch sprint straight toward disaster while making worse and worse decisions. He wants everything, right now, with no limits, and every step forward is actually a step closer to the edge I have to thank my dad for recommending it to me. I remember watching it once with him, but I was pretty young (why he let me watch this movie when I was a kid? I honestly have no idea 😭🙏) 9.5/10
