“There's beauty there. What happens up on that screen means something.“
i need to watch this again and again and again. a love letter to cinema, a love letter to the beauty and chaos of filmmaking then and how it’s lead us to where we are now. within this love letter we are also faced with the truth of what cinema was, its casual cruelty and harsh realities for many of the industry - both those deep within it and those trying to make it in the name of doing something important, and the disgusting secrets beneath all of it. this movie is meant for those that love cinema, while critiquing white capitalist greed within the art of filmmaking. it explores the love, desperation, sadness, risk, and sacrifice of pursuing art.
