Very contemplative. I spent the entire movie expecting something big to happen, a big disaster. But the insidiousness lies within the details - the sighs, the cries, the disconnected looks in his eyes. We know he is gone, but we don’t get what happened. And what we have is a young woman haunted by the memories that once felt sweet and now seem bitter. As a child she didn’t get it. She didn’t want more. But he drowned in the pressure he exerted upon himself. To give more, to be more. And now, as an adult, she sees it, and what were once happy memories feel heartbreaking. She will always feel like she should have seen it, should have done something. But she was just child. Somehow thy found the exact color palette of childhood memories.
