E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial

Its an ode to childhood dreams and the transient nature of youth. The inevitability of its end, the loss of innocence. It breaks our heart then glues it back up, igniting in us the flame and hope for a future that remains empathic and bright with child-like magic. The sentence: “I’ll believe in you all my life. Everyday.” is an excellent promise that perpetuates the possibility of magic despite growth. The acting, specially Elliot’s, and the soundtrack are an absolute MASTERPIECE. Filled with nostalgia in its soft colors and empathic frames, the movie is a joyful ride down memory lane.
