love you, dad. a beautifully fragmented mosaic of childhood memories - gentle, nostalgic, and heartbreaking. i was not expecting to have tears streaming down my face throughout the last third. i was little skeptical of all the hype at first, but this film is like a wave in slow motion that washes over you and pulls you into the rip current by the end. i’m a true believer in the power of this film now. maybe best of the year??
