Monkey Man

Dev Patel, you're fuckin legend, man! Amazing, outstanding, incredible movie, rich with culture! I was biggest admirer of Dev Patel as an actor, and from now on he's one of my favourite writers and directors as well! I wasn't bored even for a minute of the movie and I didn't understand how 2 hours flew by! It would be a visual feast if Dev Patel himself just stand there, on the screen for 2 hours, but he has done even more! The movie was truly a magnificent visual feast! Not to mention the music choices yet! Were fuckin great! As someone who doesn't like action movies at all, this was a 5 star movie for me! Why? Because it wasn't just an action movie. Most action movies consist of fighting, action, etc. scenes that progress over a simple story, and it's probably my least favorite movie genre. But in this film, although the main story is familiar, the blending of the film's story with religious and cultural elements was magnificent. And that makes Monkey Man more than just an action movie. When I went to the cinema, I knew that this movie would not be bad because I had complete faith in Dev Patel. But, as I said, I don't really like action movies, so I didn't expect to see a 5-star movie. But here I'm, giving 5 stars to this amazing movie! And I'm definitely gonna see this film again! I'm dying to see what Dev Patel does next!
