Thunderbolts*
THUNDERBOLTS HAD ME SCREAMING, CRYING, CLUTCHING THE COUCH—LIKE HELLO?? I CAME FOR CHAOS AND TRAUMA GIRLIES IN LEATHER, AND I LEFT WITH EXISTENTIAL FEELINGS ABOUT FOUND FAMILY AND HEALING.
Yes, the action was insane (everyone was throwing hands like their lives depended on it, because… they literally did), but it’s the emotional core that hit DIFFERENT. These are people the world threw away. weaponized. Hurt. And instead of falling apart, they found each other. They stumbled, they fought, they messed up—but they KEPT SHOWING UP FOR EACH OTHER. That scene—YOU KNOW THE ONE—where someone says “you don’t have to do this alone”? yeah that broke me. Fully shattered.
We don’t talk enough about how powerful it is to just… be seen. To be accepted, even when you’re at your lowest. Thunderbolts really said “yeah you’re damaged, but you’re not disposable.” and I’m gonna be thinking about that for WEEKS.
It’s not just a superhero movie, it’s a love letter to every person who ever felt like they had to carry it all by themselves. No notes, I’d die for them.
