[APRIL AROULD THE WORLD ⋆˚𝜗𝜚˚⋆ | England](https://boxd.it/TDvBQ) I’ve abandoned this little challenge early on. One film per day was too optimistic anyway.  I had different ideas in mind but ever since I heard about this film, I haven’t stopped thinking about it so I had to sneak it into the list… maybe it has also earned a spot in the ‘[favourites](https://boxd.it/zsmSw)’ list, too.  ***This is England*** follows Shaun, a young boy who has lost his father in the MALVINAS war and is not having an easy time at school.  He’s bullied, feels like he doesn’t belong, and his mother doesn’t know how to help him.  He eventually meets Woody, a skinhead who takes him in and introduces him into his group and into a new way of living.  Oh my days, I loved this.  I felt so sad for Shaun. I thought Woody was such a good lad and good friend.  Combo, on the other hand, scared me to death. Stephen Graham’s such an amazing actor, he owned every scene. But that particular scene with Milky was a difficult one to get through… As well as that scene where Shaun and Smell kiss. That was so wrong. I even had to pause it to google how old the actors were at that time. So many things to comment on, I will come back with more.  As an Argentinian, I’m still pissed off about everything. And Maggie is, in fact, a twat. But I cannot deny how much I enjoyed this.  It was raw. It was real.
