Incredible production, chaos, sort of a comedic lynch

My god it kept going on and on and on. I felt so anxious watching it and was basically shocked as I thought I would watch a summer movie with a nothing plot. I’m obsessed with the way the cinematography narrated the story, tom blending in with the frames at the beginning, the warmer palette when tom was around the dreamy dickie, the shadows and mirror reflections showing Tom’s identities, god. I haven’t thought about Matt Damon before but his performance was insane!! He created the perfect mystery around tom and the snobbiness of dickie. The build up of the boat scene made me suddenly realize Tom’s longing stares were for dickies life, his privilege, and jazz clubs. He’s basically on a roll trying to hide his mistake, covering murders with murders. I’m pretty sure it’s implied he’ll maybe through Peter’s body into the ocean, but I’m not sure how tom is supposed to get away with the last crime. Anyway, this truly was a thriller. Very innocent movie, until it wasn’t.

I realized how weak my imagination is watching this, I definitely didn’t visualize it anywhere near this.
