AMAZE AMAZE AMAZE!  this was such a great movie and a great adaptation of the book. I definitely thought they quickly went over a lot of the science, and I do wish that Grace’s character could have been portrayed closer to his book personality, and a few other things but i wanna review this separate from the novel because this is such a difficult book to bring to the big screen and they did a pretty good job!   the cinematography and visuals were absolutely phenomenal and I loved the acting for both Grace and Rocky and their friendship was so touching (I looooved the additions of the “tv room”, the hugs, and especially the goodbye) and definitely made me tear up in the theater lol. The score/soundtrack was also amazing, and was utilized perfectly. Although, I do wish the pacing was not too fast or slow at some points and I really would have loved if they made their reunion even more impactful. Having even an additional 30 mins more runtime just to get all of those little details in would have been perfect.  overall, I would rate the the movie based as an adaptation 3.75-4 stars; on its own/separate from the book it’s definitely 4.5-5 stars!! 👎👎👎
