The Creature Commandos

I watched this show a while back in January (when it came out) so Im going to use this 3 minute animated short as a subsitute for the actual show (since its not on letterboxd) to express my thoughts and feelings about James Gunn's "Creature Commandos" I thought creature commandos was a good enough start for this whole DC universe but I think many people wouldn't want this as the starting entry, myself included. I'll start off with the things I didn't like: I didn't like how the show was really sexualised and you see people having sex every episode which was really unnecessary, Aside from nina's death she had no use in the show and was mainly used for the brides anger, the ending felt really rushed to get everything done and over with, show is definitely James Gunn's worst superhero related project by far and I only hope he can improve onwards. Now on to the actual good stuff: The show never ever felt boring or dragged on, it was really fun and entertaining especially the backstory of every character which was tragic in all the good ways, the violence and blood was used really well to show us how strong these characters really are, the music was top notch with its 80's style, the story was okay, really simple and overall a fun time. We all know this show was a little appetizer for whats really in store.. SUPERMANNNN, the world isn't ready 🙏 Overall: 7/10 | 3.5 stars
