Monster
I thought I was watching a mystery thriller, but apparently it's about bromance or gay kids? Maybe, but that's okay. This has a really good story, one of my favorite movies, and the cinematography is so freaking beautiful. It's really different from the poster, even though the first 30 minutes are boring. This is a film that teaches that bad communication can make problems even bigger, and the most heartbreaking part is the ending. I know the end is made for us to think for ourselves about what happened, but when the child said "Have we lived again?" I'm sure that they had actually died, especially when they ran and there was a bright white light, meaning they were at peace there. This film really has a hidden meaning and will be in my top 4 on Letterboxd.
Final score: 9.2/10
