Billy Elliot
I’ll miss ya
This is truly one of the best pieces of media I have ever consumed from the dance numbers to the dialogue to the character development.
I think this movie is also one of the best examples of the” take a look at your self and make a change” audio ever as it goes for his father and brother excepting of ballet but also Billy just learning to not be ashamed of ballet and also of his best friend whom was going tho
And the dance numbers in this movie are truly some of the best like ever
To me the little girl who is always hanging around Billy’s street and house like somewhat symbolises like Billy’s roots and How even though he leaves to the ballet school and a bigger life she just is always there represents his home.the simple living working-class community he’s grown up into
I think that in the time that this movie came out Micheal would of helped a lot of people transitioning at that time as there wasn’t many trans people in that era on media
I truly love mrs Wilkinson so much from her understanding of Billy and being the main reason his family actually got on board
This movie is also a great representation of how history and the event's of the 1984-1985 miners strike effected family’s and the world
I also think Debbie had a large part in Billy continuing to do ballet so little credit to Debbie 🙏
The ending of how the miners strike is over and they all have to go back to the cave,Billy’s gone to the ballet academy and the studio is empty but then coming together to watch Billy perform and his brother being so excited about it all and the fact Micheal is there at the show years later now mostly transitioned into a women aswell showing how everyone has evolved
I actually love this movie so much and like this has always been one of my favourite movies since like year 3 like I made multiple dances to this
If only I could dance then I could so be Billy Elliot😔
This is definitely one of those movies that I would recommend to people because it truly changes my perspective to everything…
