Perfect Blue
This movie is a masterpiece, its made so confusing so that the viewer can see from mimas perspective how she slowly looses herself and doesn't know anymore what the real her is, or the concept her fans want her to be. The stalker wanting to harass her is also a great example how male gaze works, when the concept of her is destroyed, creeps like him act this way, because he already has a concept of her due to his parasocial relationship he has with her and than it gets destroyed with her new job being an actress, so he gets violently to get the concept back he wants from her. And at the end of the movie she finally understand who she wants to be and doesn't let others decide how she needs to act. So she finally takes the power of others away, who showed her how she needed to be until she finally collapsed under that. ITS 10/10
