Frankenstein
for frankenstein i have a lot of mixed feelings. it took me quite some time to really get into this movie, in some parts i was somewhat bored. seems like this took way too long. but after the first half (when introduced to the creature’s pov) the movie slightly began to hit. also, jacob elordi carries so hard in this, it’s crazy. but what annoyed me was this form of flashback in the movie. i just think it lacked some sort of depth, as it became very clear to how its going to end. the only “interesting” part tbh were the last 20mins or so. but maybe there’s a little bias here since this was my introduction to frankensteins story. i did like it tho in some parts that this movie was more about the relationship between creator and its creation and emotion rather than the “classic” frankenstein story.
