2001: A Space Odyssey

This one has been a long time coming. My brother and I once started it at home and we didn’t get past the monolith because I was resolved to see it in theaters. 70mm was an extra treat.  It certainly lives up to expectations and the visuals brought me to tears on several occasions.  Maybe someone can sell me on it, my door is open for rationale, but i’ll be damned if that fetus at the end didn’t damn near spoil the whole movie. All those stunning visuals just to end on that big headed baby. Literally bumped it down from a 5 to 4.5. Morning after edit: fine i’ll give it 5 stars
