strip away the horrormovie trappings and what you're left with is a blunt metaphor for coercion: a guy who can't handle the possibility of rejection, so instead of risking it he removes the other person's ability to say no entirely. this man abandoned every normal way to woo a girl and instead essentially proposed marriage via ransom note made of magazine clippings. and all of this because he couldn't deal with the thought of having his ego hurt. I knew this guy is fucked in the head as soon as I saw him go to bed wearing jeans, are you okay? Bear is incredibly and unbelievably selfish; he loves the idea of love, not the actual person behind it. guys, just be sappy with the girl you like. be real, be vulnerable and most importantly, be respectful about their decision.
