Went in blind, wore an Iron Maiden t-shirt to my screening, Nia DaCosta you absolute legend. Calling it right now that my next Spotify Wrapped will have Duran Duran on it.

Wanted to like this one more, not to say I disliked it but I didn't find myself enraptured. I get that being a protagonist and being a 'good guy' aren't mutually exclusive but this feels like another entry into the 'Man who's kind of an outcast loser lies, cheats, and screws everyone he's ever loved and gets rewarded for it' Cinematic Universe. The performances were all solid, Timothee Chalamet and Odessa A'zion deliver some phenomal work, but it wasn't enough to get me to root for Marty. Rachel deserves better.
