Created by The Legendary Filipino Filmmaker, Lav Diaz. A Great Director, possibly The Greatest Filipino Director, and an absolute monster in-terms of cinematography, with a 5hr 30m run-time, he managed to flawlessly present to the audience a very compelling, emotional, and a heart-felt story, such a perfect mood to which is the story being told, all the long still-shots were amazing, filled with very elegant components of the cinematography of Lav Diaz, a true-story giving us the perspective of what life was like under the martial law, a very emphasizing film which a lot of people relate to. aside from these components, the film describes the superstition beliefs of the Filipinos. the cast were phenomenal, they're acting is superb. I honestly want to watch a lot more of Lav Diaz, but as I can see. almost all of his films are over 5 hours long, aside from school and things to do with personal life, It seems I will not get a grasp of this goal, for the next few months or so, but anyways. I'll try to watch more of his works when I have the time in the weekends. this was an interesting film, Lav Diaz is a master of his work. I highly recommend this to people who's trying to get into Filipino cinema.
