A Time to Kill

Let me start by saying free Carl Lee Hailey. This is, in my opinion, an extremely underrated, very important film that people should watch. It's at times a very tough film to watch, but damn, this film shakes me to my very core. It makes you question your own morals on what really is right and wrong and what is necessary. Anyone who says they wouldn't do what Carl Lee did is lying. I don't need to talk too much about the themes of this film, but all I will say is racism is a fickle and vile thing. I think every actor is giving their absolute best performances, especially McConaughey and Jackson. The talk in Carl Lee's cell, the closing argument, and even the BBQ scene get me every time I watch this film. This film is fantastic; no complaints, and a day doesn't go by where I don't think of this film. “Yes, they deserved to die and I hope they burn in hell!“- Carl Lee Hailey
