Vertigo
You know, when I was going through the Sight&Sound top 250 a few weeks prior and saw that Vertigo was the second best movie of all time, I couldn’t believe it. What was so good about it?
Well for starters, it’s the best color work I’ve ever seen and I know shit about color. Then the acting. Have you ever seen a movie where when the acting is so flawlessly executed? I don’t think there are any other movies where the acting is so perfect, aside There Will Be Blood.
Then the plot twist, I saw absolutely nothing coming, how would I? Unless Hitchcock told you personally, you would’ve never guessed the twist.
The ending, is just bizarre. I was in shock for a good 90 seconds after the movie ended.
10/10 flawless movie.
