Memento
I forgot what I was gonna say…
My director Nolan. No matter how people try to diminish him, I’ll always be on his side. A genius, a generational filmmaker, call him whatever you want, but one thing he’ll never be; is a bad director.Rewatching Memento felt like coming back to a story that’s still unfolding, even when you already know how it ends. I loved it the first time, but this time I enjoyed it even more. Understanding it while watching it fall apart in reverse…is one of my favorite things about this rewatch. No huge budget, no massive cast, just pure storytelling, all built on memory, identity, and lies. Nolan didn’t need scale here; he needed precision. And he delivered something that’s nothing short of perfection.
A hell of a film. Clearly one of Nolan’s best, and one of my personal favorites.
