one of the best adaptations out there. cormac mccarthy envisioned a world morally destroyed by nihilism with little to no hope - the movie beautifully depicts that. cast is actually perfect, the visuals are stunning, the pacing keeps on letting us clinging onto hope, just for the movie to end in an almost anticlimactic way. just like the book, it felt like i was reading it again! the idea of old traditions and values dying in the new age of brutal nihilism and unseen, unstoppable violence is perfectly encapsulated by acting and emotional range of actors. i would recommend reading the book also, as it is really extraordinary and one of the kind. the specific writing style of mccarthy was really well adapted here. lovelove
