Big Eyes

i love tim burtons way of colouring his films to look so lively and beautiful. he truly has a gift for film making and in my opinion is one of the greatest directors in history. this is a very different film compared to his more popular and known ones. i love how this shows the struggles of being a single mother, manipulated, and in a abusive relationship especially during the 50s when women wouldn’t be given the respect they deserved. and i also like how margret’s friends is wearing all black and dark colours compared to the rest of the world in this film which indicates that she’s more independent rather than margret who wears very bright, colourful and pastel shades which shows that she’s more naive and dependent. and when you see christoph waltz as an antagonist you know the films going to be amazing!
