Sinners
i'm speechless. i'm honestly ashamed of myself for not seeing this when it first came out, but this is breathtaking. never have i seen a story as such be executed this way before, and with such an amazing cast. everyone was so impressive in the roles they played, and how deserving this movie was of every award it won. michael b jordan honestly was never an actor i payed much attention to, but his name now has meaning to me after this movie. each frame was so meticulously crafted, and it never strayed away from the little comedic pleasures, despite it's high intensity. the metaphors were so clearly displayed without it being said explicitly; this movie was important. i think not only was it good entertainment-wise, but in itself was educational. cultural appropriation and violent racism of black people was real and still is today. and honestly, the sex scenes didn't bother me either, which is always a good sign
