man this movie was an absolute fucking blast. This felt like a bed time story scary grandparents would tell their family to act right. Zach Cregger you absolute mad man. Weapons was just as much of a breath of fresh air to me as Barbarian was in 2022. the non-linear story is used to continue dropping bread crumbs of the mystery instead of being the narrative crutch i initially worried about. the ensemble cast was brilliant and yes a mf laughed out loud a number of times. i see why jordan peele fired his manager after losing the bid for this movie. i’d be mad as a mf too.
