beautiful and poetic, but quickly becomes really tiresome...

idk if reading the book beforehand was a good idea, maybe i would’ve liked it more if i hadn’t. but im trying to look at it as a whole. i really struggled to fully engage with it. visually it’s great, the colours and some of the shots look insane at times. it also dives deeper into the characters and their motivations than the book does, which definitely adds a lot of value.

*I love how our encircling feelings leave nothing out... for us to want or seek.* i definitely loved the vibe. i feel like it should be a film that i'd like, but it sadly fails to engage me.
