WandaVision

i’m pretty bad at articulating my thoughts on here but here i go😖😖 this show is perfect right until the agatha reveal. the first 7 episodes are so different to other marvel projects, and the creative direction is so fucking cool. the scene where wanda and vision are fighting and the sitcom music is still playing is haunting, and shows wanda’s desperation for a perfect life so subtly. the scene in the first episode, where debra is telling wanda to stop it repeatedly with the eerie music playing is just too good to be something in a marvel show. darcy, jimmy and monica teaming up is unexpected but one of my favourite parts of the show and i would kill myself to just them back again. wanda’s character, who has had little screen time until this point, is explored so deeply and that makes me very happy ❤️❤️❤️ although in ep 8, the scene when she’s driving to the home that vision had bought literally ruined my life. it’s amazing. the slight gasp she does before she gets out of the car, the defeat she visibly holds makes me sick. however, it feels like as soon as agatha is revealed as the villain, they switched out the writers.  i know this show is setting up doctor strange 2, but i feel like there could have been a much more interesting way for wanda to become the scarlet witch. there is no denying that marvel is super formulaic and every movie just ends with a battle sequence between the bad guy and the good guy, where the good guy always wins. the start of wandavision had so much potential to break this cycle and bring something new to the mcu, but they fumbled bad. and yeah, it kind of ruins it for me. the show didn’t need a villain beyond hayward. wanda is essentially her own villain. some of the scenes in the last episode are so dumb, like the witch trial scene?? fucken dumb. as cool as agatha was, she could have been introduced in multiverse. her story feels rushed, and her motivations are weak.  okay how do i end this ..???? OH the worst part about this show was that i was aaron taylor-johnson baited for a BONER JOKE. fucked up even though i have a lot of critique i still give it a 4.5 because i’m biased okay thank you
