Hamlet
Last week, I saw a clip of Ethan Hawke walking through blockbuster and was transfixed. Brought it up to my brother yesterday only to discover he’s somewhat a Hamlet aficionado so obvi we watched it together.
Thoughts in no particular order:
• The world is a better place bc this exists.
• Reflects everything ab the sexy 90s aesthetic i so adore.
• Love the juxtaposition between new & old through varios elements of the film.
• Low budget breeds thoughtfulness & inventiveness.
• Charmed to think of all the favors that were called in and ppl of new york who contributed to the film—maybe for nothing or very little in return.
• Glad to watch it with my brother so he could translate and i could enlighten him ab the challenges of low budget filmmaking.
