Sentimental Value

This is the first movie I watch in 2026 and I have to say it did not disappoint at all. I loved it, I absolutely loved it, and I definitely need to watch it again. Even though I just did. Joachim Trier creates a deeply emotional drama about two sisters who resent their father but, despite everything, remain a family. The film explores their wounds, silences, and the things left unsaid in a very human and honest way. I was especially drawn to how strongly the story connects to film and theater—it adds another layer to the narrative and made me feel even more connected to it. But hey, why talk to your daughter in real life when you can just express it through art… right? And omg the house…
