Echo

This ended up feeling so average. I really wanted to be invested, but I just wasn’t feeling this show. The production of this is great though. I love the connections to the Netflix universe, the great fight choreography, and the intimate sound design. Where this really falls short is just the plot. I don’t really understand what the show is trying to say and do. Aside from being an awesome homage to the Choctaw nation, it feels so meaningless to me. Also, with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil being in the trailer, I really expected this to be some cool setup to the new season through Kingpin’s return and Echo’s involvement. It was so disappointing that Daredevil showed up just as a cameo in a flashback in the pilot episode. While this could’ve been really good, it just left me disinterested with some unmet expectations. In hindsight, it kinda makes sense why Marvel just put this out all at once, because I’m not sure id have been excited enough to wait a week for each episode.
