one of those films that just hits different every time you watch it. robert de niro is absolutely insane in this role. he’s unsettling, unpredictable, and yet, you can’t look away. new york in this film feels like a neon-lit nightmare, both alive and rotting at the same time. and Bernard Herrmann’s score?? SO GOOD
