Dune

I was getting goosebumps every 5 minutes. My eyes were gliding over the screen absorbing every inch of beauty. I liked the first half more than the second and that's because of the fast paced (yes fast paced) cuts and the BEAUTIFUL OMG BEAUTIFUL shots. The second half was more strory heavy and I know most people thought that the movie was empty -and while that's true and it did leave a bit of a hollow aftertaste for me- but I just knew what was I getting myself into, it's a fucking Villeneuve movie; you expect beauty and he fucking delivered I just happen to like the non-desert shots more. If you liked Blade Runner 2049 you're gonna fucking love this one, it has the same-ish atmosphere, same kind of minimal acting, same attention to details. I've probably have given it a bit of a higher rating but I'm pretty sure that'll get fixed on the rewatch; and that's the thing with Villeneuve's movies you could watch them over and over again and you keep finding new stuff to glue your eyes to. You've probably heard this at this point but yeah it does look absolutely gorgeous and sound phenomenal.
