> *Is watching movies worth it?* *Toxic* makes you question the reality in just 10 minutes of it getting started. I've watched many bad movies and enjoyed them just to see how worse it can get, but this one was literally torture. It literally becomes unbearable to the point where you just think of walking out of hall even before interval and never visit any theatre again. The dialogues are so painful, guru randhawa's fineshyt sounds like a melody now, everyone in this movie for unknown reasons speaks in rhyming, like there's a contest for best shallow profound garbage nazm. > *Pest control?* > > Nahi, Out of Control 😈😱 an example of corny dialogues this garbage is FULL off. Also, for a film containing 5 FEMALE CHARACTERS, all this movie does is using them as toys for the protagonist, atleast Nolan potrays them dead. There's 3 hours of slow-motion action sequences in which 20 min of cheap rip off of *Aparichit* and *Fight Club* is embedded, the cinematography almost feels like AI at points, I wonder where this much budget is disposed. At some point I began to feel that Toxic itself had forgotten how normal time works. Then there is the sheer audacity of the editing. The first part moves at the speed of a bullet train cutting from one thing to another before you can even process what you are watching. Then somewhere in the middle Toxic suddenly decides to slow down to the pace of a tortoise. By the end whatever it had left, completely collapses into a mess. The random black screens throughout the film? When one appeared for the time I genuinely thought the projector had broken down. Turns out that was the editing. Jarring, random and bizarrely placed that I spent more time wondering whether something had gone wrong with the screening than engaging with the actual movie. The action rarely makes any sense. It throws everything in poses and exaggerated visuals but none of it creates clarity, excitement or impact. It is a collection of things happening very slowly or ultrafast which insists that you find them cool. If this is what we consider Cinema, should it be allowed to continue after this?
