I can’t quite come up with anything to write to show how much I loved this movie. It’s uncomfortable yet so intriguing and intense to the point you can’t take your eyes off the screen. Thewlis performance was incredible in this, he disgusted me and pissed me off and somehow I was still strangely attracted to Johnny. Each dialogue that comes out of his mouth makes you really think about whether he means it or he’s just some loser who thinks he’s a philosopher. I never realized Thewlis could play such an annoying asshole by my god is he good.
