Superman
"Your choices, your actions, that's what makes who you are"
Rewatched this film and I can confirm it's one of the best CBM ever made and I stand by it. Words can't describe the love I have for this movie, the way it represents superman is so beautiful and the music score my god it sounds so heavenly, James Gunn has cemented himself as one of the best comic book directors, he has redefine many characters and making audiences care for them, happy to see Mr. Terrific gaining recognition from fans as his portrayal in the Arrow tv show was kind of a let down.
David Corenswet's casting as superman is easily one of the best comic book casting, he literally EMBODIES superman so well that his quirkiness and charm as superman and his awkwardness as Clark Kent reminds me so much of Christopher Reeve's superman. Superman's monologue towards Lex Luthor was peak cinema, the way David Corenswet delivers it is so pure and full of heart and passion.
Nicholas Hoult on the other hand is still one of the best villain performances I've ever seen, James Gunn really knows how to write villains.
On my first viewing of this film I thought the pacing in the beginning was a little bit messy but as I rewatched it I found it that it was perfectly paced. I really really love this film it gave me the same exact feeling that I had when I first watched the Sam Raimi spider-man trilogy, the hopefulness and the relatability. James Gunn is truly THE GOAT
