Rango

Not a perfect movie but, much like the character’s designs it’s imperfections are what make it so special. Some of the best textures ever put to screen in animation. This entirely computer animated film manages to have so many beautiful and distinct shots. Rattlesnake Jake is maybe the single greatest designed character of all time in any medium. Bill Nighy does such an amazing job at capturing his voice. “Nothing but bats!” Is something I quote almost daily. If it isn’t my favorite movie of all time it’s definitely one of them.
