Titanic
Me- Okay, it’s 10 PM, I got work tomorrow at 8 AM. I just got the Titanic 4K that I have heard it’s spectacular. I don’t have time tonight, maybe on the anniversary in a couple weeks, but I’ll put it on my tv for a tech demo see how good it looks.
Me three hours and nineteen minutes later- 😭😭😭😭
For real, this movie was and always will be a cinematic achievement. With the stunning new remaster on top of that, it looks like it was made last year, which is mind boggling.
I know Cameron is all Avatar right now, but if I would have made Titanic, I’d just retire after that. How do you make a film better than that.
The fact it is nearly three and a half hours, and you don’t feel the length at all. Just masterful.
The acting is also top notch, making the love story one of the greatest of all time.
The respect it pays to the tragedy and victims is present (pretty well the biggest lesson learned) and everything it says about class is even more prominent 27 years after the movie, and 113 years after the sinking. That’s kind of sad really.
I can gush about this movie and turn back into my 12 year old obsessed self. I’ll finish this review though. I got work tomorrow.
Just can’t say enough. This may be the greatest achievement, and my personal favourite. (Which I always get reminded about when I watch it)
I’ll never let go ♥️
