Adolescence
The first surprise hit from Netflix this year is pretty impressive. This mini series is filmed in 4 single take episodes. Each of the episodes are more stand alone than I was expecting. The first focuses on the initial arrest, the second is about the school interview, the third (my favorite) is one long interview with the accused child and his therapist, and the final episode is about the effects on the family. The series tackles head on the type of Andrew Tate pilled little boys that have come so relevant in school culture over the past 10 years. The show does a great job digging into that mindset, which is probably why I like episode three the most. I think it’s pretty fascinating that this show is blowing up the way it is. It’s a great show but, in my opinion, nowhere near as brilliant as Severance or The White Lotus. It’s a solid quick watch
