just stunning filmmaking. these “men in rooms” films bore the hell out of me but this was shot and told like a suspense thriller. every footstep, every pen scribbled, every door unlocked echoes with tension off the marble walls. such a great use of location visually and auditorally. this film works as an examination of a version of the church detached from our reality, while simultaneously being so relevant to it. shoutout to cardinal tedesco’s vape
