i decided to rewatch this bc i saw it in theaters on christmas in kindergarten, had not watched it since before my childhood dog passed, & i just got a new lab puppy. oh my god. i did not expect to have a lump in my throat for the last 20 minutes, i starting tearing up as soon as his stomach flipped the first time. we do not deserve dogs
