Moonlight

“You don’t even know.” No, you don’t. A masterpiece. I just want to drown in this film’s visual poetry. Washed over me like those breathtaking sky blue waves. I felt Chiron’s forced numbness in my soul. That score is so chillingly beautiful and makes you feel light as a feather. The way it directly contributes to the poetic storytelling is extremely effective. The loneliness and numbness of exclusion through a queer lens. It even utilizes silence effectively. I thought it needed a little more detail and bite in its storytelling, but this is seriously brilliant for the most part.
