Whats in the box? Fincher made it rain for the entire shoot and it shows. there is not a single frame of sunlight in this movie that feels warm. even when the sun is out it feels like a threat. I think about John Doe constanly watching the movie, even though he does not show up until the last 20 minutes of the movie he is the most present character in the whole film. All of the 7 crime scene, pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath, and sloth is a monologue, everybody is a sentence in an arguement he's been making his entire life. He actually beilieves that he is doing Holy work, and the most terrifying part is that the film never proves him wrong. The gluttony scene is the one of the most horror moment i've ever watched, there no gore, however just a smell and a reaction of Bred pitt
