Materialists

This movie really holds a special place in my heart. This was the first movie I saw in theaters by myself! Besides that, this movie talked about so many different themes and topics throughout life that I’m so glad it included. Originally, I saw this movie for the cast, I won’t lie. But I left the theater crying, due to how much this movie impacted me. This movie is so beyond realistic, that you truly forget you’re watching a movie, and not real life characters. It reminds you what’s important, and forces you to reflect on your own life, regarding your thoughts on several different topics. I will forever love and cherish this movie. Additionally, I’ve never heard of Celine Song’s writing before this movie. Let’s just say, I’ll be continuing to watch her stuff. It all felt so realistic, while also aesthetic, and every little aspect of the characters felt so real. I’m in love with her work.
