The Penguin
WOAH. I mean I realise I was a bit late on this one but I just did not see this coming. Firstly, everyone knows that Mat Reeves' Gotham was the absolute best rendition of it there ever was, and you really get to see Gotham in all of it's glory once again. Craig Zobel's direction was phenomenal and Colin Farell delivered as always. I was a bit surprised to see that there was no mention of batman, especially considering how important he was in the events that preceded the series, but I guess it makes sense. Batman was heartbroken over his girl, and just did not care. I like that to be honest, it lets the entire show be its own entity and not just another project shadowed by the name of The Batman. The plot of just insane and wow Cristin Milioti was just excellent in every scene she was in. The show knew what it wanted to achieve and it reached it's goal masterfully without seeming overly serious and gritty. 10/10
