Play It Again, Sam
Dick asking "Could I get a coke with nothing in it?" to Allan and Linda after they talk about combining drinks with neurotic pills is peak comedy.
Anyways, the film is a great homage to Casablanca and Humpfrey Bogart, and you can´t not love it as a film fan. WA´s character is as neurotic and funny as ever, while Diane Keaton complements him perfectly as usual. This might be the WA film I found most funny, but we´ll se later without recency bias. Tony Roberts as Dick is a stand out performance that I didn´t except, he plays really well into the busy mid century husband role which the film humorises. In genereal, the main trio of characters play really well off eachother, which enhances the film greatly.
I´ll tell myself later that i shouldn´t feel morally conflicted about this one since Woody Allen didn´t technically direct this, so that makes it ok. Great film, might even be top 3-4 WA films so far.
