La La Land

I was really worried at the beginning of this movie, as musicals are not really my thing. I almost stopped watching after the opening scene because I thought that the rest of the movie was going to be  like this - so glad I persisted with it. I loved everything about this movie; the colours, the honking of the horn, the parallels between Mia and Sebastian when deciding to attend the movies or Mia’s play, the love and support that they had for one another and their dream’s. And of course the jazz music! The final part of the movie was so sad, but also so beautiful at the same time. Although not a stereotypical happy ending, it shows how some people are just temporary in our lives. They serve a purpose when they’re needed and that’s okay
