Mark Ruffalo was born to play a fed in the same way Barry was born to play a weird little man. How fun!

Happy V Day Lovers

Visually stunning, huge for the color red! I don’t love the first half unfortunately

I don’t know that Charli is saying anything that new or interesting about being a celebrity or musician, I can see how it feels that way given how this is packaged. But at its bones, it’s essentially just the thing she’s making fun of (?) her contemporaries for doing while she’s doing the same thing for people who still have Twitter accounts and don’t play about their AMC membership (guilty on both accounts). Hard to say how much is purposeful vs. oblivious. That being said, it’s a lot of fun at certain moments, and genuinely funny at times (feel like the bits wear down by the end of it). I think everyone surrounding Charli is carrying this movie on their backs (Skarsgard and I can’t believe I’m saying it… Kylie Jenner) and unfortunately I couldn’t help but think how much more enjoyable it might be if she wasn’t at the center of it. At the end of the day, reflections on fame, celebrity, and the music industry is exactly my bag, so I appreciate any perspective on it, and this is certainly a fresh attempt. I’m interested to see how Charli’s acting career fares considering she’s in 15 movies in the next year. I hope she finds her way back into the studio. 💚
