40 years ago, my dad saw this movie in theaters, he says it changed his life. It's sort of a bit between us, but it's also true. For me, it didn't change my life, it shaped it. The influence this movie had over my father led him to join the Air National Guard. When I was 2, we'd go to Oklahoma for Pilot Training. When I was in elementary school, my dad was flying in the Middle East. When I was in middle school, he took on a second job - flying commercial radically changing my ability to travel. We moved to other states and countries for military assignments while I was in Middle School and High School. When I was in college, I'd transfer back home after he was diagnosed with cancer (he's good now) -- caused by exposure to carcinogens while on the job. Through all that time, when birthdays and holidays come around, I try to always get him something Top Gun related. Most of the gifts he has displayed on a shelf or in a case at home. I have seen this movie dozens of times, on TV, DVD, Streaming, even VHS, but never in theaters. That was until today. The AMC ads finally ended. The screen goes black. The Paramount Logo appears, and as it does my dad leans over to me and says, "You know this movie changed my life."

First a one off special for The Bear Now a one off special for Punisher What character is Berthal going to do a one off for next week? My money’s on Grif from Baby Drive or the Wax Figure of Al Capone from Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian Also, Marvel what are we doing. All the 2hr slop and this you only give 44 minutes?! Should’ve been a movie.

Good special, but misleading title. This was not about my papaw.
